Former Magistrate's Office (Iwami Ginzan Museum)
On the 2600 square meter site is the Omote-mon, a tile-roofed, single-storey gate flanked on both sides by terrace-house-styled Mon-Nagaya. Both of these structures were rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1800. At the center of the site is the former Nima-gun Public Office, built in 1902, which has now been converted into the Iwami Ginzan Museum, containing research facilities, archival exhibit displays and information on Iwami Ginzan, and a museum store.
