Shimizu Kanabishaku Spring

This flowing spring in the Shimizu settlement is surrounded by stones and stone walls of private residences. The stone monuments and moss covered stones create a feeling of spirituality and refreshing coolness. The Magistrate of Omori, impressed by the taste of the spring waters dedicated a ladle (kanabishaku) to the spring, hence the name Kanabishaku.
