Yahazu-jo Site
Yahazu-jo Site 2.5km west of the Sakunouchi Area, was built in the 16th century on a mountain peak 480m above sea level. Beyond the eastern ridge is the Gourozaka Main Road where the Yunotsu Okidomari-do (Transportation Route) runs, leading to Yataki-jo. Records indicate that Lord Mori seized control of Yamabuki-jo at the silver mine and succeeded in expelling the Amako Clan from Yahazu and two other nearby fortresses around 1557.
